Budapest Hungary
Things you need to know about Budapest
I've had the best days in Hungary and words aren't enough to express it. So I'll just feed your mind some facts about the capital Budapest.- Did you know the right pronunciation of Budapest is Boo-da-pesht?
- Back in the day, Buda and pest are two distinct cities. Buda is the old town city while pest is where hotels and hip ruin bars are located.
- 1 euro = 305 Hungarian Forints ( Imagine how cool to have thousands of HUF)
- Everything is so cheap; public transportation, bars and restaurants.
St. Stephen's Statue |
- Drinking outside is illegal.
Matthias Church |
- Local food is delicious ( I suggest you to use app or tripadvisor where you can find the best local bars and restaurants)
Chain Bridge |
The language is harder than you think but at least learn some few basic and useful words:
Hello or Bye = Szia (sounds like “See Ya”)
Goodbye = Viszlát (sounds like “veeslat”)
Yes / No = Igen / Nem
How are you? = Hogy vagy?
Thank you = Köszönöm (sounds like “kozonom”)
Thank you very much = Köszönöm szépen
Good morning = Jó reggelt
Good afternoon = Jó napot
Good evening = Jó estét
Cheers! = Egészségédre!
You’re welcome = Szívesen
Sorry! / Excuse me! = (to apologize = Bocsánat!) (to gain attention = Elnézést!)
Hungary has so much things to offer.xoxo
